As the year comes to a close, it can be tempting to plow straight ahead and into next year’s work without pause. You might find yourself in over-drive, trying to tie-up those loose ends from this year while preparing for next year’s project load. Or, maybe you had a great year and you’re looking forward to what next year will bring and just can’t wait to dive in.
Whatever it may be that’s pushing you full speed ahead into the upcoming year, I want you to do yourself a favor and take a moment to pause. It is so important to take some time for yourself at the end of each year to reflect on your past practices and set goals for your upcoming year. Your success needs to be intentional, strategic, purposeful, and guaranteed. And the only way that you can make that happen is by taking a break away from your business, ideally in a relaxing space away from the grind, and reflecting. Assess what worked well and what didn’t, where you can find improvements, and set some goals for yourself.
I want you stepping out of the day-to-day and stepping into a space of vision, planning, and reaching. In today’s episode, I am going go be diving into how to assess the year that you’ve just wrapped up and use your reflections to predict and guarantee your best year ever in business.
In this episode, you will hear:
- Five tips for planning your best design year ever
- Why setting stretch goals are so important for your future achievement
- How frequently you should be setting goals and evaluating your progress
- The importance of social media in business and why you need to stay in touch with your clients
